HP Color LaserJet 2840 through a Belkin Play N600 DB won't print

Hi,

I have an Hewlwtt Packard HP Color LaserJet 2840 which is connected via USB to a Belkin PLAY N600 DB router, which is connected to my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I have been to the HP webstie and it tells me to use the drivers that came with Windows 7.

So in the Devices & Printers window it is there, labelled as HP Color LaserJet 2800 series and when I try to print I get an error.

I'm guessing it is something to do with the driver as I cannot scan at all, it just tells me there is no scanner connected!!

HP Laserjet 2840 printing in Windows 7 64bit

I don't know much about these things to be honest, and mine is connected directly to the printer, however to get around my all I had to do was change the a secondary setting on the printer.

1. Select Menu, then press the number 2
2. Use arrows to scroll through until you find High Speed USB and select.
3. Switch this setting to OFF. Then you need to cancel twice I think to get out of the menu.

Once done the printer had to think for a bit, lights flashed. I thought I had made it worse for a few minutes. Then suddenly the page I had waiting to print came through!
