Hello,

Still concerned about my intermittent start up problem.

Seems to be pretty good now.
Has started the last few days, several times, with no problems.
Hope it stays that way.

If you have a reasonably new HP desktop, would like to ask though:

On startups, do you momentarily see that blue screen with the HP logo and the six or so F key options flash on for about 1/2 second or so ? If so, always ?

My understanding is that this screen is Not the infamous BSOD, and "might" be normal during startups ?

Do you think this quick flashing of during the start process is "normal" ?

Thanks,
Bob

From OP:

Hi,

Thanks for help, and reply.

Yes, that's pretty much it.

Sure glad to hear and learn that it is normal on starting.

BTW: the HP rep I spoke with "believes" that this screen should not be showing up on startup.

Was a bit hard to communicate with him, and it is likely I did not do a competent job in explaining everything regarding what shows up when, how, etc. ?

Regards,
Bob
