Hp help and support update always freezes when starting up

Hi

I have a Hp laptop running Win 7 - 64 bit.

Everytime this laptop restarts, there's always an update problem. The way around it is to hit ctrl alt and del, and end the process.

Other wise the update stays and there is no progress with the update.

I thought of uninstalling any hp sofware that might be linked to the updates but didnt really find anything.

Sometimes the unhandled exception error will show up.

Anyways around this pls?

I suspect its being updated by Service Centre.
I would have thought that if anything needed to have been updated it would have done so a while back, the only other update i can think of would be for Meltdown or Spectre
How long has this been going on for, and do you know what its trying to update??

Have a look at System Config
Control Panel >> Administration Tools >> System Config >> Services Tab (tick hide MS) whats left is whats been set-up by any other Program, you can untick them so they wont run.
