HP Mini: "display driver stopped responding" msg

Hi, I'm new here. When I step away from my HP Mini the screen goes dark after the timeout. When I return, I see the message "display driver stopped responding and has recovered". None of the fixes that I have seen suggested work for me. I have tried to update the driver, but it seems to be the latest and greatest available.

Any other ideas anyone?

Try to reinstall the drivers.

I don't know if it is at all related but, I was having a similar issue with my dv8t laptop. HP issued a hot fix for it and all has been well since. Link:

2 different machines but, there might be a similar fix for yours.
