Hp pavilion hard disk format

hey guys

im trying to restore my hp pavilion lap top to factory settings.. while im formating it it always stop at 23% what can i do?? i need help

Are you attempting to format the OS hard drive?

Have you tried a third party program, such as DBAN or killdisk?

no ... the first thing i did is putting the first cd recovery disk then i pressed f9 and choosed DVD/CD then i selected windows recovery after that it started to format but it always stop at 23%

You need to run Startup Repair 3 times
