Boot into BIOS setup to see if HD is detected. If not try reinstalling the HD to make sure it's still seated correctly. HP ProBook 6455b Notebook PC - Removing and Replacing the Hard Disk Drive - c02451935 - HP Business Support Center. If so run the maker's HD Diagnostic extended boot scan to determine for sure its condition.

Next boot into the Win7 installer provided in step 5 in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times after confirming the Win7 partition or it's 100mb System Reserved boot partition (preferred) is marked Active: Mark Partition Active .

Post back results.

What sometimes happens when dropped is that the HD gets slightly dislodged so it isn't fully making contact. This is why I said that next I'd pull it out to look it over good and then reseat it paying attention to how it makes contact.

But this is a rare situation so it looks like you will at least need a new HD. Google the PC model + HD replacement, then google the HD model replacement to study your options closely including in Shopping view.

windows 7 HD is only Detected if i insert the Repair windows 7 disc and try to run a repair that went on for 24hrs and nothing

What makes you think HD is detected? Did it show a Win7 installation to repair? That neverending Startup Repair is most often an attempt at Disk Check on a bad HD.

I took the HD out a couple times to make sure but nothing I guess i will have to Buy a new HD.

The disk will of course boot if there is no HD detected. Evidence of life would be it finding an installation to repair which shows the correct size, or the HDD still being detected in BIOS under Storage devices.

(its running slower then when i did this yestuarday) stuck on blue screen with large arrow

That plus the HD short test your ran would point to it. But you never answered if Startup Repair ran after detecting an installation? If it found an installation of the correct size then there is something left on the HD.

Now it's just stuck on the blue screen with the large arrow (oh well). Do you think i should spend $40 to have a diagnostics done or Save it to spend that on a new HD? Thank you for all your help Greg.

Reseat the HD again making sure the contacts remain firmly placed.

Run the HD maker's diagnostics as suggested twice now. This is the definitive word.

Ok, I will try right now.
