I purchased a new led monitor and everything looked perfect, my son messes around in the windows 7 color calibration settings and all my whites look pink now..I even did a new install and all whites are still pink....im wondering if this calibration is stuck somewhere? i reset the monitor to factory settings as well
when i shut the monitor off and turn it back on, the asus logo is clearly white......when i start the computer up hp logos and everything are pink...even the bg on this forum is a light pink...im desperate any help?
type color into the start menu search bar, and "calibrate display color" should come up.
Run through that and set it how you want it

Even still after i calibrate n restart all my whites are pink like my boot menus, the lettering on starting windows...its wierd and annoying...and now even my cursors and stuff are pink its crazy..some of the whites are better now that I adjusted the color calibration but cursors remain pink as well as hp startup logos
do you have a video card??--it's control panel 'may' be the best place to adjust the color--check your color temperature settings (cool=bluish, warm=reddish) also your GAMMA setting can have an affect that could cause the pinkish hue--and--once the settings are in place, they will affect the appearance regardless of the device it's plugged into...of course it's difficult to adjust the color when you're starting with 'pink'
True, but i have even gone to the lengths to delete every partition and start from scratch..ive never had this issue before..possible graphics card failure?
IF you have a separate graphics card AND onboard graphics--try connecting the monitor to the onboard--IF problem goes away--then perhaps the Graphics card is hosed.
You appear to have ruled out the monitor.
To rule the Windows OS out of the equation down load a linux bootable distro and see what the colours look like. I suggest Puppy linux.
Edit: Actually just booting from the repair disk should rule the OS out. See if the whites still look pink.
If the problem persists then it must be an onboard graphics card setting. Make sure you have access to the colour adjustment software for the card.
