Hulu Desktop

I just installed this, because I got fed up with problems viewing Hulu on my browser. So far, so good, except one little thing...I have gone through the settings, and I couldn't find one for keeping it on top. Is there such a thing as a switch that could be added to the exe that would give it this ability?

Hulu Desktop is not a browser, it is a standalone app.

EDIT: It does use browser integration, but that has nothing to do with the problem.

What issues are you having viewing with your browser?

Too frequently, a program will freeze while it buffers, but worse is that recently programs fail to start, with it showing a message to clear out the browser's cache, but even after doing so, it oft is needed to reload the page several times before it will work. Sometimes, it is necessary to restart the browser, even after clearing the cache, and too often even that doesn't fix the problem without multiple reloading of the page.

So far, the desktop app hasn't had these problems, and has the ability to use a small window that doesn't interfere with other use of the desktop. The only problem with it is that each time you click anything on the desktop, the app goes disappears to the rear. The bottom line is that there is no advantage to using any browser to view films (except possibly the browser and the desktop might have different access to films).

The issue is identified as host server overlaod and DNS!
This is a known issue!
In plain speak, Hulu has more clients than it can serve, whether you use proprietry software or from the browser.

You seem to be going off in a tangent to my question. It is about keeping the app always on top, not about issues due to congestion. However, the issues do not seem to be effecting the desktop software.

If its the only app open while you are watching it, then it will always be on top..

Let me try and download the app as I like Hulu but only view in IE.

With an attitude like that you're lucky to get any answer at all... my reply was not intended to be sarcastic... if you are watching hulu, what need is there for another active application to be displayed on the desktop... in the future instead of attitude, try google...

It seems pointless to respond to your question, but I shall anyway. My OP did not ask about how to resolve the issues that I had with viewing Hulu via a browser. I only mentioned it in passing as a background for my decision to use the app instead, as I tend to be as complete as possible in the details of a situation as possible. I answered your questions regarding this in the same vein.

I had no intention or desire to change the focus of the thread to anything other than my one and simple question...a switch or method to keep an application always on top, when it didn't have that capability designed into it's interface. The likely answer was that either it wasn't possible, or that no one new how to do it. Either of these answers would have sufficed, but of course, I hoped that there was a third alternative...a solution. The answer that you provided was none of these. As far as I'm concerned, browser viewing is not an alternative.
