Hyperlinks not working

Im fixing a friends computer which has been having a very strange problem.

Im looking for any ideas short of a recovery if possible.

A few weeks ago my friend has started doing a game programming course and has a disc with questions and links to online websites. Also there is hyperlinks which should start videos which are based on the disc.

Now a couple of weeks ago the hyperlinks have stopped working, and frankly im stumped. You click on them, a quick loading circle and then nothing.

I have tried:
>>System restore
>>Uninstalling flash, air, jave, .net, silverlight and shockwave and then reinstalling them all with the latest versions.
>>The disc works fine on a different computer and seems to be a problem on the computer.

Any ideas guys?

Is this all links, like in IE too? Or just the program?

If just the program, was the drive letter of the CDROM/DVD changed after the program was installed? Like from D to E if a hard drive was installed? That'll mess up programs sometimes.

Might also think about deleting the temp files from system and profile(s).

The links arent working only on the disc.

And it isnt an installed program it actually runs from the disc.

Ill give that a go brady and report back!
