I am new with computers..

I just got a new computer, custom built nothing on either hard drives, i have a 1tb hard drive and a 64 gb SSD drive. I have a brand new windows 7 oem version, I start my computer up and it gets stuck on this screen

...................

And it won't even have the windows 7 disk in the DVD drive. I am completely lost.

Is the OS installed on the SSD? there is some hardware problems on those SSD, even w/ Intel SSD, you have to make sure it is flash w/ the latest firmware

Do you know if the SSD and HDD were "optimized" to accept data? If you could post a screenshot of your Disk Management screen it might give a clue as to why the OS won't install (unallocated space, no drive letter assigned, etc.) Before posting the screenshot please maximze the disk management window so all info is displayed.

The OS isn't installed on anything yet, because I can't get the windows 7 setup to come up.. It may need to get the latest firm ware. I dont know though.

I'm pretty sure it is an OEM or system builder disc they are talking about.

Unplug all other HD's, boot the Win7 DVD to Clean Install Windows 7.
How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD

If the SSD has anything on it, wipe it first with Diskpart Clean Command.

If disk still fails to boot, check all of your connections and cables, set SSD first to boot in BIOS setup and trigger the DVD using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key at boot.

On a wiped HD the installer should autostart. If not you have booting problems with the DVD. Try writing the latest ISO to flash stick to boot and install, from Steps 1 and 2 here: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

You can of course use retail OEM version on a new build.

As for O.E.M on custom build; I know of no problems just because its O.E.M. and not retail. My O.E.M. installed without any problems on a new SSD.
