I was merrily surfing along going about my business when I suddenly discovered that my Data Partition had disappeared. It was completely gone - no trace of it in Computer or Disk Management. The system had just added it to the freespace that is adjacent to it. I keep that freespace in case I need another partition, but have not touched it in eons.
That partition is shared between my Win7 and Vista. Earlier I had worked on Vista - just running the updates for the system and AV. I wonder whether that has something to do with it. But I do that often and it never happened before.
It was no big deal to recover my data from the latest image (hail imaging), but it just puzzles me how that could happen. Can anybody provide a clue?
