About ten years ago they were available but expensive.
A primary use was POS Stations.
I have tried to locate them now but just haven't found the correct search key words.
Yes, they were about the size +- of the Commodore 64.
I need the version that runs Windows as it's need to run our POS Software.
Thanks for any insight on finding one / them.

If ever it were possible, I'd think that now is the time. In a way, it's already been done.
It's called a Tablet computer.

What is your specific need?

For several years, I was in the C-64 business, both updating and repairing. The biggest drawback was that it was just an 8-bit machine. I did a lot of programming on that little computer, and I even re-wrote the OS, to eliminate a lot of redundancy and increase the speed.
I still have my updated C-64, but I've not powered it up in well over two decades.
It's actually for SALE to anyone who wants it, along with several 1541 disk drives and three monitors.

Are you talking about a thin client?

With a thin client there is no OS compatibility for the client itself. It pulls from a server. Maybe this will help.

No, they were physical Keyboards.
They had a Processor, Internal Memory and a Hard Drive.
All the Peripherals attached to it.
It ran Windows as it's Operating System.

Although with only 2 gb of ram and an atom processor it isn't very powerful. If you are concerned about size you might be better off with a raspberry pi which you can put Windows on. I wouldn't want to depend upon it.

It's a faster quad core processor. usb 3, 4 gb of memory but by default only comes with 16 gb of space. But it's an sd card so you should be able to get your own. It's also a little cheaper. You might want to google it and see what else is out there.

Thank you for that feedback.
While not the one I was looking for, it appears they still exist.
As you suggest, I would not want to depend on it.
The one I am searching for was US made.
Components like memory, processor and storage were replaceable/ upgrade-able.
Perhaps, they went out of business.
The concept / purpose seem perfect for small Retail POS applications.
