I am using Windows Mail in Windows 7, works great. But when I open a email I have stored in My Documents folder it opens up in Windows Live Mail program. Is there a way to have open in Windows Mail?

I understand your problem, because it happens to all of us. The above poster has given you the official and possibly the best answer, I can only tell you what I do. I do not get many emails that I want to save, but when I do, I copy and paste to Word and then save to documents. Now it opens in the right format.

Or an easier way is just to drag and drop the saved eml file into an open example of Windows Mail in any folder you desire (drop it in the Message List window). That simple method has worked in all versions of Outlook Express and Windows Mail. Good luck.
