I bought a $380 Samsung computer. But the color is really bad!

The color seems really dull no matter what I do with the color calibration Samsung NP300E5A is the model number. It has Intel Pentium and 500GB storage.

I was really surprised that you could do the two finger scroll thing on this cheap computer like you can on the MacBook.

Could you see if this was a good deal? I got it for $380 and then added a one year black tie warranty for about 80 dollars I think. Or is there a better choice for a similar price.

Anyways, I installed something to make the font all smooth like in Safari browser, but this made some of the Korean font come out as fading out too much in parts of the characters in titles of news. If that font renderer truly replaced some windows system files then you wil probably have to do a repair install from the Windows disk to get them back (Or if you have no disk, a full factory restore from the restore parition of the laptop if it has one)

I don;t even understand the point of that program. The first example is simply a BAD calibration of cleartype. The second example is exactly what a good calibration of cleartype would look like. Just use the windows cleartype tuning app to make it look the best to your eyes.

Type "cttune" into the start menu search box and hit enter to run it.

I don't know why the display would look bad either, other than the fact that it's probably a "TN" display panel but 99% of all laptops use those and in general they look good. I mean color is usually bright and all. I'd have to look with my own eyes I think to really tell though...

I`m sorry but don`t you know how to uninstall a program ?

Start button, control panel, add/remove programs, wait til the list compiles, find the program, click to uninstall.

I did uninstall the program but I would rather not uninstall it and have the font come out perfect.

Does this Fujitsu have better color with its advertised crystal display? I was looking at this MSI with i5: MSI S6000-017US Refurbished Notebook PC - Intel Core i5-450M 2.4GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, 15.6 Display, DVDRW, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, Black at TigerDirect.com

It looks pretty cheap for an i5 laptop. It says it has 15.6” WXGA display, would that be better than my Samsung?

Problem with judging displays is... you have to see it in person to tell.

Everything else (well everything by keyboards) you can judge on specs, but monitors... everyone's preferences are different. What looks better to one may be awful to another

Part of the problem with uninstalling that program is that it looks like it actually replaces windows system files, and that may not be correctable by a simple uninstall... Not sure, but if uninstalling the program did not fix it then a system file check/repair build may be necessary to get rid of it.

I've had a couple of Samsung laptops and the colors have always been great. Fine tuning to suit personal preference - gamma, contrast, brightness, etc and sometimes adjusting whether I'm using in the house or outside. Same goes with the fonts - no problems.
