Hello,

So I want to connect with my laptop (win 7) to pcA (win 7).
After I boot my laptop i can connect to pcA. But after 10-20 minutes, I can't connect anymore to pcA.
After I boot I also can connect to pcB (win 7). And after 10-20 minutes I can still connect to pcB.
pcB can always connect to pcA.

In short:
Laptop can only connect for a few minutes with pcA
Laptop can connect all the time with pcB
pcB can connect all the time with pcA.

Now what happens when I can't connect to pcA anymore.
I am asked to login (altough on startup I don't have to login and pcB also never has to login). When I enter the credentials of the account on pcA it gets rejected. (So I can still find the computer but it seems he locks me out).

Any thoughts on how to fix this problem ?

With kind regards,

Go to the Power Settings in Control Panel and see if the network card is allowed to go to sleep in the Advanced Settings, if so set it to NEVER I believe 15 minutes is the default and often they cannot wake up from sleep.

Thx for the fast reply, but, when I have the problem I work with the adapter in not on battery.
But I did check the power settings and put them both on 'Maximum performance' and I still have the problem :s.

I think you misunderstand what I meant, under the Power Settings there is an Advanced section available which are beyond the initial on Battery or AC Power.
There are settings for the Display, Disk Drives, Network Cards etc. If your settings are DEFAULT for everything the Network Card shuts off after 15 minutes if not being used like if you are Word Processing for 40 minutes then decide to do a Google Search and can't connect it could be the setting for the Network Card not allowing the Card to awaken.
