i can get no sound

hey everyone i just took xp of my computer and installed windows 7 and it sais i have no sound or anything my motherboard is a alivenf6g-DVI and my sound card i dont know what it is but i cant get my sound to work when i press the sound button in the bottom right it just doesent find anything or help me can some PLEASE HELP i dont want xp again

do you have an install disc with drivers for your sound? If not try using windows update..

first go into your control panel and go to hardware and sound. next a small list should pop up click on the sound one and it will show you the sound drivers installed. if non are installed you might have to add hard ware or try to identify the sound car manually.
