Solved I can only hear out of my right headphone and speaker

I have start to get this problem today i have looked around to find fix but nothing. i have 2 sets of ports and both of them only play throw the right hand side. also i do not know how to check if it is on mono that might be the problem but i dont think so. i have tried my headphones on my brothers pc and they worked fine. If you could help that would be great.

Knowing what PC brand and complete model number might help. Your "System Specs" don't give much info to go on.

Also, did the problem start after you added or made changes to your system?

i did nothing to my pc so a factroy rest it this moring hopint it would work but it did not.

Hmmmm. That doesn't give much info about the sound.

Click the Start Orb, Right click Computer, Click on Manage.
In the left pane, select Device Manager.
In the right pane, click on the arrow to expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

Post a snip of that screen.

There's a couple built into Windows.

Selective area:
Click on the orb and type snip, then click on Snipping Tool. Mouse to the area you want to start a capture, left click and drag to the opposite corner. You can then save it with a file name.

Whole screen:
Press and hold CTRL then press Print Screen. This copies the image to the Clipboard. You then need to open your image/picture editor and Paste into that. Then save with a file name.

The Snipping tool is much easier and faster.

Ok, you posted while I was typing.

Click the Orb, select Control Panel. If the control panel doesn't show all items (Category View), Click on Hardware and Sound then check to see if there's a Realtek HD Audio Manager and/or an Nvidia Control Console (or name similar).

Run (click) them one at a time and check for conflicts on the speaker settings. Stereo/Mono, balance, etc.

By the way, I not familiar with the Nvidia settings so you'll need to post the screens if you need help there.

how do i know if it is on the right settings? plus do you have ts3 or skype to make this alot easier . also thanks for the help at the moment

The right settings will be what matches your system components. If you have speakers, set them to stereo. If you don't and use only headphones, set the speaker options anyway. They use the same parameters.

I don't use Skype and don't know what ts3 might be. Besides that, I'm working on about six different threads right now.

ok i have done that now i have checked my speakers work but my headphones dont any ideas they do work.

Have the headphones been plugged in the whole time? If so, unplug, count to 10 and plug them back in.
