If you are trying to bridge the zyxel all control would come from the first router. How have you bridged your Zyxel? If it a configuration issue then it is most likely not their side.
You do not have to use zyxel. You can use Linksys with century links ISP details you know.
Why have you used two routers wireless strength issue or wired issue?
Cyber, when I was using Midco as my ISP, telco and, cable TV. I used the Linksys with Midco for internet connection. I switched to CenturyLink (for various reasons) and now I have a DSL connection.
After more hours than I would to think of, between CenturyLink suppor-less and my own configuration testing, trying to get the Zyxel to see the desktop files and one of my printers I am at my wits end.:banghead: To reiterate: the Zyxel router without any internet connection, just functioning as a router will not allow me to see the files on my desktop, or see the printer connected to my desktop.
If I just use the Linksys router without an internet connection I can access the DT files and printers from the LT. The DT can see the printers and access files on the LT.
The Zyxel tech suggested that I use the linksys and bridge from the C1000z. He could not figure out why it would not work. One more note the C1000z from Centurylink has been customized by CenturyLink to put their own mark on it. The Linksys on the other hand basically says here I am what do you want to do. It does not care who the ISP is, as long as it is cable, you just configure. We had the routers connected port to port.
I purchased the @ease extortion product so I can talk with someone other than a first level tech that reads from a script and probably cannot find his rear end with both hands behind his back.:mad2:
