[SOLVED]I cannot install windows 7 RC

Hi all you guyz!

Now I've tried to install windows 7 RC (7100.0.090421-1700) on my acer aspire 5920G for the last 4 days, i have tried burning cd, making bootable usb drive, installing ALL new drivers (provided by acer), flashed BIOS and manually offered every single driver my laptop uses but still no luck!:shock:

The error I get occurs when I have done this {
1. Inserted DVD/USB
2. Booted from the one inserted
3. Chosen language
4. Clicked install
};

The error message is this:
Code:
A required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing.
If you have a floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now.
Very, very interesting! I booted from the DVD drive and I get this message, it must have been driven by magic when it first booted up. I get the same message even if I boot from the USB drive.

You might be interested in my current boot settings - Vista x32 Home premium, Vista x64 Ultimate (Unactivated, expired) and Ubuntu(on the buffalo external).

Do any one of you have a solution (trust me, I have searched the whole internet for a solution):cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Moi Akke ja tervetuloa foorumille!

Sähän voisit kokeilla asentaa sen kovalevyltä. Jos ymmärsin oikein sulla on siinä koneessa jo käyttis asennettuna. Pura se ISO WinRAR:illa tai vastaavalla kovalevylle (ei tietenkään sihen partitioon mihin aiot sen asentaa!), ja käynnistä asennus manuaalisesti (setup.exe). Toimii!

Sorry, geeks, I couldn`t resist an opportunity to use my beloved Finnish, living here I can not use it so often.

I told him here above to try installing it from HD; first extract ISO to HD and start setup manually from there.

Just told him that I'm greatful that there exist finlanders on this forum others than me!

And then I asked if I can install it directly under windows? Gonna give it shot!

Do any one of you have a solution (trust me, I have searched the whole internet for a solution):cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
1. First thing I recommend is FORMAT the Partition where the Vista x64 is.
2. leave the external HDD out.
3. If your DVD is sata. you will have to use F6 and install a Driver for the SATA DVD if your booting from a Bootable Win7 DVD.
4. If you want to upgrade Vista then insert the DVD after your booted to Vista and then upgrade or chose custom and install Win7 on a different partition. (called Dual Boot).
The error message is this:

Code:
A required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing. If you have a floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now.
MANY SYSTEMS DO NOT HAVE SATA DRIVERS, if your using a NEW DVD for Win 7.
ADD THE REQUIRED DRIVERS to USB drive or Floppy Drive or CD. and when ask click Add Drivers.

I have installed the lastest SATA drivers, chipset etc. In BIOS i have changed AHCI to IDE (NO ATA EXISTS) and, I have tried to supply the driver at when it lets me browse for the missing driver and it just wont eat it.

Burning WinVista 64 on my dvd-rw...

I would not recommend AHCI to IDE. My Acer does not like that.
I have it set to AHCI (NO RAID).

Keep us posted Akke.
