Where are you trying to delete them from ? The desktop itself of inside the desktop folder etc etc ??

Try from a different spot. Also have you tried restarting first then try again deleting them ??

Hello Johnny,

Try to run Chkdsk /f

Start > CMD > Right Click and Run as administrator > Chkdsk /f
Then reboot the System.

If that didn't do it then try to use Unlocker

Hope this helps,
Captain

If you had recently moved them or created them like today a few minutes before you tried deleting them. They might be still actually showing in use or something also (behind the scenes) That's why i said that.

If you try deleting them from another area first after restarting it should work. If not post back and or maybe try a few more things before you go and do all that what Sp posted. and/or using some software to do something that should be happening normal.

So that really doesn't solve or fix the problem. See what it is first and if any other way (basically the standard way) first. Then maybe a few other.. then if HAVE to then use an app if needed.

If your system is real messy also you might want to do a file clean up system plus a defrag and/or Disk clean up.

Cause somethings not right. Not with them there but showing as not and cant be found. Sounds like they had been moved or deleted already but still just showing visually there for some reason.
