I cant update my bios for my mobo!

just got a replacement being shipped today. i'm just going to leave the bios as it is whenit comes. the reason i wanted to update the bios is that my OEM mobo was 5.23 lastes bios and the replacement was 5.03 so i just want it to get it back as to how it was when i had my oem mobo.
BIOS is the one component of the computer where "It it ain't broke, DON'T fix it" really applies.

If the computer boots just fine, and runs perfectly, leave it be. There are some members here who's BIOS software is 4 or 5 years old, but it works.

Good luck with the new board.

If you see a newer BIOS version available, the best thing to do is to look at the Release Notes and see if there is anything you absolutely need. Many updates just allow the board to support hardware you don't use anyway. Others fix problems in specific instances, but if you're not having the problem there is no need to "fix" it. You wouldn't take cough medicine today because you might get a cold next week, right? :D
