I used FileTypesMan to change the look of default exe files but it actually seemed to change the look of ALL exes. I can fix most of them with resource hacker, I think. But there are a few stubborn ones like mpc-hc64.exe that won't let me replace the icon properly. I don't know why. I replace it and it will change the icon that appears in the top left corner of the program window, but the icon on the start bar is still the icon I had changed all the exes to. So, can someone help me out. Either tell me how to force allow the customization tab for programs by editing the registry, or how to revert back to having my computer use the pre-assigned program icons, or ... whatever else you can think of. It's fine for most things which get launched from the start menu, because I can just change the icon of the shortcut and that also applies to the start bar. But for things that launch by opening files (like media players) I don't know how to alter the icons. At some point I had it set up right but then I updated klite codec pack and it reinstalled mpc-hc and now I'm stuck with this annoyance. Or is there are way for me to open filetypes to a shortcut or something weird? Please let me know if you can help....
