Ok so a few days ago I downloaded a new theme for my laptop which is Windows 7 Home Premium and I didn't like it so I uinstalled it and also I deleted a .dll file in the themes folder and I thought that when I restarted the laptop it would just be back to the normal "Windows 7 theme" but when I turned it on after I logged in the screen was black and an error came up about something to do with the ".dll file missing" and I kept trying to restart it a couple of times and then when I turned it on later on the "startup repair" came up and I tried to restore the system but it wouldn't work and now whenever I turn on the laptop it just goes straight to startup repair.
I went to a computer repair place and they said that they could backup the harddrive and it might need replacing which will cost alot
how could this be true when all that I did was delete a little file
please tell me there is a simple way of fixing this
