they are each 10tb.

I plan on filling them up with pictures and mirror the drive. copy the same on both drives as an archive.

drives have 4 years of use on them. I dont plan to have mine on 24/7

basically once a month or more ,conntect it to a usb caddy, transfer, shut off and put to the side till theyre filled.

is it a no no to turn the drive on and off?

I dont know enterprise vs regular seagate iron wolfs I use. but Ive turned mine on and off without any thought. I copy what i need 200-400gb then shut it off and disconnect

any issue with this?

also, do enterprise drives run hotter then normal?

ok got the drives. they are 42/45000 hours. no errors on both with crystaldiskinfo. they have around 50 power ons

lots of random clicks when you get in close. I have a modded sata power cable. but for my usb case Ill need to modify and remove the 3rd power pin

didnt check for speed. its total life with me wont be more then 3 months on time added to the 40k+. more power ons for sure as I copy images to it.

I have 1 more drive from my brother but cant find it in my big mess.

overall happy. free is always a great price
