i have 3 grahpics cards, how can i make it work

i have 3 graphics cards. 1 285gtx and 2 9600gt

i know that in order to use sli you need the same model.

so i was wondering. can i put the 2 9600 gt cards in sli and just run my gtx285 by itself? how would it work out exactly?

12gb of ram
windows 7 ultimate

yes..... you can run the 2 9800's in SLI & the 3rd card (GTX285) will serve as a physX card...(though highly overkill)

or.... you can run the three cards independently & loose SLI.

personally... i'd sell one of the 9800's save a little, buy another GTX285, throw them in SLI & run the 9800 for physX

You might/should be able to:

1. Put 2 9600 gt cards in sli mode for video
2. run the gtx285 as a dedicated PhysX processor. (provided you have enough slots for all these cards)

Unfortunately, there are too few games that actually use the PhysX features at present.

Last time I checked (a couple of weeks ago) there was a lot of info (google) about using an ATI card for video, and mixing it with an nVidia Card to handle the physX. With all your cards being nVidia it should be easier to do.

I'm wondering why you would even want to, the 285 will slap the 9600"s even when they are run in SLI.
