Hello all, my issue is that somehow any personal app in the start menu list will not open (store apps work fine). I've run a few Windows Repair things but to no avail. What's also interesting is that if I right click the app in the start menu then select Open File Location, I'm taken to the directory but the app won't open when clicked there either. What does work is that if I go the the actual path of the file and click it it does open. Now also, you're FREE problem, the apps that autostart don't just start and minimize into my system tray (which is what I want). They open up in a normal window (which I don't want.I've done all the right click properties stuff which I already new about but like the first issue, no luck. Thanks in advance, Sam

The .NET Framework 4.7 installation is blocked on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012 because of a missing d3dcompiler update

Ok, Net Framework 5.0 or 5.10 is not for me. Apparently only Win10.

The link describes a needed dll to be installed called d3compiler update. Can anyone give what is needed for that
or make an autoruns for those like me who need the help.

I am doing a sample install of the older Net Framework with newest Handbrake and see if that works... on an older sacrifice drive.

Apologies. I got some stray remarks in here from one of my subscribed threads. Lon
