I have a SoundBlaster Live! and a GeForce GTX 550 Ti

At the moment I use the SoundBlaster for sound. Would using the graphics card instead be better or worse?

The sound from the graphics card is digital HDMI audio (audio for the HDMI connection to an external device such as a TV). Its not for regular PC audio with speakers and/or headphones.
