Hello!

I have a very serious problem. I keep getting these annoying BSOD when im trying to update Battlefield Bad Company 2. The Bluscreen normally appears about 5 - 10 % into the update (It a big one, it takes about 50 min to update).
I've had this problem for 3 days now. And i only get the bluescreens when im trying to update BFBC2. (Have not tried any other game). But I can use chrome, spotify, utorrent, and loads of other programs and they wont give me BSOD.

Some of the error-messages i have got.

Code:
driver_irql_not_less_or_equal
tcpip.sys //Got this message in the begining

Code:
system_service_exception
// Got this message yesterday

Code:
driver_irql_not_less_or_equal
dxgmms1.sys // The most recent messege i have recived

I've got some tips on other forums. And they said that it proberly would be the RAM-Memorys. So i ran Memtest86. And i got about 9 billon errors on slot 0. I removed that memory. But i still got the bluescreen.
I have tested every memory one by one, and they got 0 errors, but when i plug in more that 1 i get load of errors.

I have attached a .zip-file with all of the minidumps. But i think the latest ones are the most relevant.

I would really appreciate if someone could take a look at the latest dumps.

My specs are in my profile.

Hello there.

Did you test every single RAM module into every single RAM Slot in your motherboard? that'd give you an idea of what's happening, also one of the BSODs cause it's the TCP/IP connection limit and the other one seems to be because of the DirectX, do you have the latest drivers for network and the latest DX? (june 2010)

Update every single one of the drivers on your motherboard: chipset, video, network, audio (just to be sure) and install the latest DX version.

Report back after that, please :)

Hi Isakksson and Welcome.

Take care of this notorious driver as a prioroty:

ASACPI.sys Mon Mar 28 03:30:36 2005 Asus ATK101 ACPI Utility
Input your Mother board details. You'll find the ATK101 drivers under the sub-heading: Utilities.

I did some tests, and is seems that every memory works, but in diffrents slots they got errors.

I installed the driver, but it dident make any difffrence.

I have got to more Bluescreens (Tried to update BFBC2).

I friend of mine gave me a bat.fil that reinstalled tcpip.sys.
But that dident work, i got a bluescreen. And after when i restarted the computer i got one that said that a driver were causing problem to the kernel.

Heres the minidump for the latest BSOD.

Ok, if one of the slots is giving you errors, then i guess it's RMA time :( because no matter how many different RAMs you put in there, it'll give you errors!

What does that mean?

And i only get the bluescreens when im trying to download updates for battlefield.
I got some when i tried the updater, and when i downloaded a program from fileplanet to download the patch i also got bluescreen. Can it be the networkcard?

It actually points to the network card also, because the tcpip.sys is related to the ethernet/wifi!

Did you update the drivers for your network cards?

Remember to keep the drivers to their latest version, an outdated version of a driver could cause some troubles :geek:

Use Microsoft Security Essentials until you have determined the BSODs have stopped; then you can install whatever else you want instead.

Typically, you visit the page of the hard drive manufacturer, and find the link in the Support section. It depends on where you got the drive; did it come in your computer, or did you purchase it separately?

Separtely. (The OS-Harddrive passed the tests)

But I have done some testing.

I disconnected both harddrives who could cause the problem. (I had the OS-Harddrive still plugged in). And then ran Battlefield. I got Bluescreen 10 min in both times.

The file that caused it was tcpip.sys.

But im thinking of reinstalling the computer and see what happends. Im not sure yet.
