Solved I have issue with directX.

Hello All....Recently I had issues with DirectX. Issue is, I downloaded the latest version with the help of dxwebsetup from Microsoft site. Now, when I try to run a game it gives me an error that some DLL file are missing. I have manually added those files.

I tried to install DirectX from the game's DVD so that all the necessary files needed for the game gets installed. But, when I try to do that it does not complete the installation and gives an error and asks to check DirectX log file. Due to this, I am not getting sound in some of the games. No sound at all.

When I try to update DirectX from dxwebsetup.exe, it tells me that I have the latest version and does not update.

Please advice.

archer, is it looking for older dx9? Try this

Download DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime from Official Microsoft Download Center

Thanks Dude...I have downloaded the file. Is it the same file I mentioned before or this will install DX9 on my PC? I will install and keep you update.

It was for the DX 9 runtime components some games need. Which game is giving you the error.

I got the sound back....thanks a lot Dude...now I am thinking..how can i forget to install this small file..
