ok quick question, I have two cases that I own and I cant decide what one will have better air flow...I plan on building another pc but I cant decide what's the better case to use :huh:

case #1
two 140mm on the top
Two 140mm on the side
120MM rear
two 120mm in the front
120mm bottom

case#2
two 120mm on top
two 120mm side
two120mm in front or 1x 140mm in front
120mm Rear
120mm bottom

You can't tell based on those numbers.

Too many variables, too many unknowns. The only thing you've provided is the number of fan mounts and their location.

No info on the fans to be used, case quality and size, air flow obstructions inside the case, what temps you demand, what noise levels you will tolerate, how much you are willing to spend on fans, etc. On and on.

Nor do I think there is any way you can know, short of building the thing in case A and then using the same components in case B and making some sort of judgement at that time. Not many people are going to do that.

You might be able to make a rough estimate based on case reviews if you Google around. But I wouldn't take that as authoritative because fans can always be changed.

Make your best guess (flip a coin if it comes to that). Build it and evaluate it. If it is disappointing, either start messing with fans or change cases and hope.
