I just bought a new laptop today that has Windows 7 on it. I tried installing Sims 2 but whenever I load the 2nd disc, it progresses for a while and then it stops and remains at 49% and won't continue any further. If this is relevant to the topic, it does say that the current file it's downloading is "TSData\Res\Sound\Pop.package" There are no pop-ups telling me to insert the next disc or anything, so I really have no idea what to do. HELP! :(

I think its because: It says it can run on Win XP only. Since Universty said the same thing. But then when you buy double delux (bad spelling i know) it can run on vista witch can run on Win 7. So that might be the problem.

What you can do is to put both CD on your computer and merge the second disc with the first... like that, it won't ask for the second CD since the file it needs is already there.

Hi

When Vista first came out, you could download a Startup disk for Sims2 from there web site.

Check on there site for a win7.
