I just brought a SteelSeries Siberia V2 - And It doesn't work.

Hello!

I just was told earlier on mumble today that I should go out & get this head-set because apparently it's really good & well yeah long story short it doesn't work :<

I've been trying all different ports back and front of my computer & none of them at all seem to be working, like literally, it won't detect on windows for me although I do get audio (coming out say if i watch youtube or something, I get sound) But i can't actually talk to people which is the biggest issue seeing as how I'm a really massive-hardcore gamer.

I just ain't good with the whole tech-side and I always need help with this sort of stuff, Anything helpful and any directions that could help me are highly appreciated

Hello and welcome Radius mate have you got a sound card installed? as I went looking for a driver for your headset and found only a driver for the Steel sound card http://steelseries.com/support/downloads

The other thing is does the headset work on any other machine? if so then I would be checking your USB ports drivers on your machine - have you checked in Device Manager for any yellow triangles against them?? see my pic

Of course it can be something as simple as a bad cable but testing on another machine will point that out
