I Need help installing a Nvidia driver for my computer. On Nvidia's website it says that we update through windows 7 update but when i do that i dont get anything no optional or recommended or important are available and when i go to device manager it only says standard VGA dispaly, i need help, the Graphics card is also Nvidia 8M series, im running windows 7.

You should be able to install the NVIDIA 8M drivers for Vista in Windows 7.

This is the link for the 179.28 drivers.

See if using Compatibility Mode on the installation file with Vista selected will allow it to install for you.

are you sure the card is being detected & its working properly, or has not been in inadvertently disabled.??

does it show up (without a driver) in the device manager..??

ok.... so windows is not even detecting its presence..


d/l this app & run it, this will tell us if the card is accessible even without the driver, if this shows no card there is a problem with the GFX in your system...

post a screen shot here...;)
