I Need to know if some Products ID are in our LVS

Hello all,
First time here.

I'll tell you the story. We have many computers across the country and we have the Product ID of each computer. There is a way to know if those installations were done with the Licence Volume System Keys?

I Also would like to know how can I obtain information from the Product ID.

It may be the Product Key you are looking for. Generally it requires a small program [usually free] to extract that information from each computer then you can compare it with the documentation for the Volume License. Depending upon restrictions on the computer you may be able to use KeyFinder or Belarc Advisor, both free.

But again, it has to be done on each computer.

Check the ProductID for each computer
it'll be in the format
00000-111-2222222-33333
The giveaway will normally be in the -111- section.
If it reads -OEM- then it's almost certainly a manufacturer's pre-install
Volume Licenses will have a specific number in there - check a machine you know the origin of, and that'll tell you what yours is.
Any other number is a retail Key of some kind (Full/Upgrade/AnytimeUpgrade)
