I need to plug in some more speakers!

Hey everyone! This might seem like a stupid question, but i really need help with this. I began making some music in FL Studio 9.0 a few weeks ago. My speakers, are pretty good, but it just isn't enough since they cant keep up with my bass speaker, so i want to plug in my bass speaker so i can hear the bass. But, it appears that only one of the jacksticks are working and thats the green one, which is already being used by my other speakers. If there is a method in which i can plug in both of them and hear them both the same time i would really like to know. Please help me!

Hi dj , for me i run my pc through a home theatre amp therefor allowing me to have surround including sub bass i use one 3.5 output jack from pc that splits to two phono jacks to amp .

I actually dont know what soundcard i am using. But i suppose i can figure it out.

Most modern pc sound chips will handle 5.1 sound even those that are on-board.

If you use the utility supplied for your sound from the manufacturer, (MB or discreet card), and set the output to 5.1 you should find that the port arrangements should change.

For example with my RealTek setup the rear mic becomes the centre/sub-woofer output and the line in becomes a rear speaker out - this will vary on the MB/Chip you have plus if you have the front case ports enabled (I don't)

You will first need to ascertain what sound chip or card you are using

The following image is of my RealTek Control software



The yellow highlight shows the output type selection and the red the output ports if you change the output type selection and point to the various ports the output type will show as a tooltip which will differ with the selecton made - jus select the output that meets your needs.

If you have another sound system the application may be different but it should have a similar option

any decent electricall equiptment store that sells dvd players, tv's, hifi , speakers etc . I see you are in Denmark so i am unsure as to specific stores although you could buy online . i have to say i use my pc for mixing ( virtual dj) and having a sub is an essential
the sample picture here is from Argos uk and shows a range of prices .i dont know if it is the same now but years ago panasonic products were made by Technics and the speaker systems are fantastic. however this method of a workaround is /can be pricey so if you can configure you soundcard as barman.. suggests then great although you will definately need a sub if you are producing music as they are frequencies (sub bass) that are essential in fact untill you hear them music is just not the same also with dance music its very important.good luck

How do i open my audio driver, or whatever it's called? I know i use realtek but i cant find it anywhere.

1. You can't find the Realtek control panel

2. Only one of the jacks works, which is what happens when it is using the default driver that Windows installs

Might be a good idea to grab the latest diver for it,

Allright i've found another way to change the sound thing to 5.1, and i've done it. I just went into sound in control panel and there i could manage RealTek. But when i test it in RealTek the sub works. But then, when i play music in Windows media player or FL Studio no sound comes from the sub.

I've tried to download the one for Vista and Win7 32 and 64bit and i've tried the one just for 64bit.

Hi there

Whilst not the cheapest -- what about Bang and Olufsen -- World class both in design and performance -- at a price of course and 100% DANISH.

However to get back to more realistic price ranges as previous posters have said any decent electrical / computer outlets will have what you need -- although these days pretty well ANY computer mobo has a decent enough sound system to drive a 5.1 or even a 7.1 speaker system.
