I screwed something up...
I was one of those guys that went to the registry and deleted the lnk file to get rid of the shortcut arrows in vista. I was stupid and did the same thing with Windows 7, not knowing that it would screw up the jump list feature in 7.
So today I got wind of a simple registry fix that would have everything working again. So....I downloaded the fix, merged it into the registry, and now instead of icons on my desktop, I have a little white graphical interface covering them(see attached (screenshot).
I hope somebody can help.....I have faith.
On a bright note.........my jump lists age fine!

OS XP, Seven, 2008R2 CPU AMD, Intel, VIA Motherboard Various Memory Corsair, Kingston, etc. Graphics Card(s) ATI, NVIDIA Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Hard Drives Maxtor, Western Digital Keyboard qwerty Internet Speed 22 Mb/s @ home, 1 Gb/s @ server Other Info All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
