I used the cd system recovery, now my laptop lost all functions

Last night I was using my samsung series 7 laptop but it was freezing up frequently so I after reading around some forums I decided I needed to format my HHD to solve my problems. After using the cd "system recovery media" I turned on my laptop to find only the trash bin in the desktop. I cant connect to wireless internet and I cant configure cable internet altough the icon still appears. Also my usb drives dont work either.
I would like to know if anyone could help me get out of this mess

I'd run it again and hope for the best. It sounds like it glitched part way though and or didn't finish. If your laptop still has the hidden system recovery partition, I'd go that route instead or using the recovery disk set.

If Factory Recovery won't run from it's partition at boot or using the Recovery Disks, then get the vastly superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 without the preinstalled bloatware and duplicate utilties that throttle Win7.
