Solved I want to put my hard drive into another Pc and use it to boot

Yeah... I don't really know. It's in a case and I don't know how to tell what motherboard it has
I can See GIGABYTE which I am assuming is a brand as I have graphics cards with that name

EDIT: in your post 15 i see one of the back blocking cover is laying on a board. hope you did not turn it on with that on their still.

I did with the 4 pin connected and the cover on
then I took off the cover and put in the 8 pin and now it wont turn

Look again at the board and check the model number. The specs say a 4 pin ATX 12V connector. But your pictures clearly show an 8 Pin plug.

As far as the PCIe card, you can see if you can return it for now, or try to sell it. But, yes, I've built more computers than I care to count. But, it's been a while since I built one of the model you have.

Ga-965p-ds3p and your showing Ga-965p-ds3 in the link in post 25 shows different board

Why don`t you just drop it off at a shop, let them look it over, then have them give you a price to get it up and running.

Yeah I would take it to a shop but I am poor. Well not poor but all the pay my parents get goes into rent and stuff so I don't get pocket money the only way I can get money is by mowing my neighbours lawn and I only get 20 nzd every two weeks so It's gonna be hard because they usually cost hundreds.

To fix this pc I'm using spare parts and am willing to buy cheap parts.
Look I just wanna play Half-Life 2,all my friends are mocking me because its already past 10 years old and I still haven't played it

Do you have any friends who are good at computers and maybe have some spare parts they would loan you to try out. The spare parts would help you more than anything else. We could swap parts out one at a time until we figured it out. We will stay with you and help as long as we have some ideas and things to try. When you bought it did they tell you what was wrong with it, or give you any idea?

I do have a good friend who built a rocket of a pc and I'm sure he would lend some if he has any
