Ive done this before on another E6530..but that one blew a mother board so I bought used E6530. But it won't boot up. It shows a blue screen then shuts fast down trying to restart. So I can't get the error code from the blue screen. I tried safe mode no dice.
Is there a way I can get this to boot up into Win7 and deal with any driver or hardware changes between the two? I would think they should be very similar. I've done this like I said in the past with other Dells of exact models..I like to have a spare to take on the road. And in case of failure like what just happened to one I had. I'm grateful I had the spare and didn't have to wait a few weeks to get my notebook. I update the hard drive or swap it out to be current all the time.
Any links you can send me to or advice?

The simplest way is to clone the working drive to the other and then change the serial number

I got it running by using Macrium Deploy..but the network controller device ID PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4359&SUBSYS_00141028 doesn't have a driver. I tried to have it search the drive that worked with it but it couldn't find it. So I'm searching now on the web for a driver..
