Does some one know of some sort of equipment that would allow me to use my many stereo speakers from my home stereo system on my computer. These are home entertainment speakers. From my understanding a computer can't drive my Technics speakers from my stereo system without help.

Does some one know of some sort of equipment that would allow me to use my many stereo speakers from my home stereo system on my computer. These are home entertainment speakers. From my understanding a computer can't drive my Technics speakers from my stereo system without help.
The solution is simple. Run a patch cable from your computer to your stereo. I have a cable that takes the line-out signal from the back of my tower, and at the other end it splits into two RCA jacks, which I plug into the "CD-in" ports on my stereo receiver. So my receiver and big speakers can be my computer audio, TV audio, movie audio, anything I desire. And the cable only cost a few dollars at an electronics shop.
With newer receivers, the cable connectors may need to be different than the RCA jacks I have.....but once you figure out which ones you need, you should be able to get everything working. Good luck!

you could maybe check craigslist for a cheap amplifier to use just for this. Otherwise you could buy a new one for probably around $50 if you only need 2 channels.
