I would like to use shields up to check ports for closure.

I was wondering how to close my incoming ports, all of them. I setup a profile threw windows firewall to close all ports through a profile to make it more secure. I thought after that I could disable the firewall to see if it worked and dial up shields up. I'm using MSE, and Windows Firewall. I having a feeling the procedure I'm trying isn't the correct way of doing it. Any advice or expertise from anyone would be awesome from you fine people!

The results came back as all stealth.

You cant close all posts or you wouldnt be able to connect to the internet. You can make most close and allow only certain apps to access certain sites.

You stand a much greater chance of getting infected or breached by something you do rather than a flaw in the firewall or av.

Your best defense is to train you clicking finger.

If you are behind a router, ShieldsUP! will only check your router's firewall, not your W7 firewall. There should be some sort of "stealth all ports" option in your router's settings.
