Icon Corruption

Hello,

I'm running on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and started to get some icon corruption in my Start Menu, Taskbar, and random shortcuts scattered elsewhere, such as the 4 corrupt icons illustrated below:

I have already followed the instructions to remove IconCache.db and rebooted but this eventually creeps back in again. I can't believe this is happening again as the last time I had icon issues was in Windows 2000 around 8-9 years ago.

It's definitely not a broken shortcut link or anything, even going directly to the actual realtemp.exe file for example has a corrupt icon on it.

It happens to me with certain programs as well, and like you say deleting the icon cache fixes some, but it just happens again.

Thing I've been doing is I have IconViewer installed, so I just go to the original file location of the program, right click on it, go to properties, go to the icons tab, save the icon, then right click on the messed up icon and change it with the icon from the program that I saved wherever. They stay from that point.
Just a little workaround that I do.
