Icon not icon--

I have W7 Pro.
I use Firefox 3.6.
The firefox icon is on the desktop.
But the icon on he Taskbar is a generic one from Windows.
If I remove the Taskbar icon and drag the proper icon from the desktop to the Taskbar, it becomes the genreric one.
How do I fix this please.

You can try to pin it from the start menu.Go to start menu,navigate to firefox,right click on it then select "Pin to start menu".

Nope.
Same generic icons in the start menu for Firefox.
