Icon problem in RC?

Anyone have this problem?

Clean install of RC, and no matter what program I shortcut to desktop, or taskbar, they always lose the icon image?? Changing icon in 'properties' makes no difference?? Looking at directory of each program shows the same as below?? Icon is lost??

Each program still works fine.

did you try resizing the icons in advanced theme settings?

i remember one instance, where i had changed almost every icon in the system (in win XP) then restored them and a lot of icons were messed up until i did that.
in doing so (resizing them, then un-resizing them) causes the OS to rebuild the icon cashe. I'm no techy but that's what i think happened.

Yes buddy, but the strange thing is that, the program.exe file loses its icon also after setting a shortcut to desktop??

I'll try holo88's suggestion of rebuilding the icon cache and see if that works.

Was this ever solved? I'm having the same issue.

Clean install of 7100 x64. Once I pin a program to the taskbar, it loses its icon.

Not really. I found it only happened with certain programs, Spotify being one of them, a reinstall of the program solving the problem.

Rebuilding Icon Cache made no difference either.

i got the same thing on my RTM build

theres more icons that dont show up but this is basically what i got

Sometimes changing the shortcut's icon with the same one a few times will have it display properly afterwards.
