Hi,

strange thing started to happen recently and that is, my icons are not there on boot:cry: and just now my Google explorer crashed and all icons are gone...

I googled the problem and found a solution: CTRL+ALT+DEL, Open Task manager/File/New Task(Run): explorer.exe.

It brings them back but it is really ennoying...

What could be the problem? Any good soul offer a solution to what the problem might be?

THANK YOU in advance

I am not understanding two things here ....

my icons are not there on boot
There should not be any icon on boot .... It should look like this image only ... animated.

And, the other thing is ....
just now my Google explorer crashed and all icons are gone...
What is a Google explorer?

Sorry, I should have clarified...by booting I meant after the microsoft logo disappears, the mainpage opens...
The icons appear, and fraction of a second they disappear....
there is nothing left on the screen, no toolbar, no icons only my wallpaper, which has been there a year...

By google explorer I meant "Google Chrome"...ever heard of it?:sarc:

I should add that I followed the tutorial on rebuilding icon cache, scanned with malwarebytes, (which found a couple of bugs), but nothing has changed...

Also it started to happen after I installed some Apple related products, (from Apple) for synchronizing my iPad air, but otherwise nothing else...

THANKS

Google Chrome is known to everybody, but never seen anybody calling it Google explorer!

Icons are flashing when the computer boots, and then disappears? Plus the windows explorer too? It is noticed a few times earlier too.

How much free space is there in the 64 GB SSD? Also make it sure that it is running with the latest firmware.

Let us know.

I am in red:eek:...1.65GB left...I guess time to start uninstalling stuff....You think that could be the problem?
If that's so...you're pretty sharp...

Thanks for help:D

That is one of the possible causes, difficult to say that it is the unique one.

Back up any user data.

Also dont forget to make it sure that the SSD is running with the latest firmware.
