Solved IE 11 immediately stops working when accessing any website

When accessing a website I get a panel that states "Internet Explorer has stopped working, will search for answer (Paraphrasing here) .

After two attempts, no answer is given and can't access website.

IE 11 version - 11.0.9600.16428 running on PC.
WIN 7 (64bit) on HP PC

Have tried to install IE 11 again but can't, apparently I have a later version running now and version I am attempting to add is an earlier version.

Totally confused on how to resolve the browser problem.

Hi Don,

couple things to try.

Go to programs/features >> then Features turn on or of, (top left),
a smaller window will open UNCHECK IE11, REBOOT

reverse above, (check IE11) Reboot

If that fails
run from an elevated command mode
sfc /scannow
and run KB947821

Otherwise,
Use Clean boot,
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
Click Start and type in the search box,
msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
Repeat the screen shots,
