I will use IE & Firefox concurrently. I use IE 9 because of it's minimalistic look and because I have been using IE since Windows 95 was out so I am used to it.

However, certain java and/or flash scripting does not work correctly with certain websites like Chilis online ordering etc. So, I have to switch to the other browser since Firefox runs the scripting fine.

Has anyone else run into such issues or know how to get IE 9 to run them correctly?

As I said above, I will use Firefox if I need to. But I prefer IE. I have used Safari & Chrome, but I don't like their interfaces.

Remember that IE9 is still in beta, and that chances are you'll continue experiencing this until the final version... or maybe only the RC, due on Feb10th.

Nevertheless, you can always try and reload the page using the Compatibility mode

hmmm.......... I also faced this IE9 annoyance yesterday.

After a gap of four to six months, I tried to post a reply to my own thread in team-bhp.com.

Clicking on "Submit Reply" only brought an error message "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 20 characters".

I retyped the message umpteen times and tried to send but in vain. Taken aback and exasperated, I finally shot a message to the web-master complaining how I have been locked out of the forum. :)

This morning it suddenly dawned on me that I should try compatibility mode. I did and the reply went through.

All this because of IE9 and I had no problems in posting in the other forums. ( I saw this thread only after successfully sending my reply in the other forum)

I had IE 9 on my netbook and my desktop. No problems with my netbook, but I could not download a file with IE9 on my desktop. I would get the message, "This file can not be downloaded." I even uninstalled and then reinstalled. But it still wouldn't work. So, I'm back to IE8. I'll try again when the final version is out.
