IE keeps flashing!

Since i installed windows 7 32bit, internet explorer keeps flashing and flickering and im not sure why!

Ive updated to tge latest version to no avail!

Im just wondering if anyone knows how to sort this.. Im not sure if its a hardware/software error but this doesnt happen with any other browsers.

Try several things:

Go to search type turn on and off windows features.

Un check IE8, turn off computer and then boot and recheck the box. You have basically uninstalled (just turned off but it is almost the same) and installed again. Try that.

Does not work try this tool>internet options>advanced>reset. This will remove all add-ons.

Does not work try in safe mode and then report back.

Could be the cache, try this

tools>delete browsing history.

I will be back with one more, but want to give you precise instructiions, so I will try it first. In the mean time, do what I just advised.

Computer>click on computer>right click>properties>disc clean up.

Nothing works, then try in safe mode. If it works in safe mode, there is a conflict. We can fix that with a clean boot.

WOW.... None of this has worked!

Now some1 is saying its to do with the frame rate(again i do not know what this means)

Download another browser and lets see if that works. Many have used firefox and were very happy. If it works you will have a browser, while we try to fix IE. We will also know that the problem is not the browser.

Who are these people that are giving this advice?

i have used other browsers and they are fine!

Its just ie, i found the framerate stuff on some random forums when googleing the problem..

Any luck on finding a solution?

This is the entire response from MS on your problem, Try them all and then report back

When you start Internet Explorer, it opens, flashes, and then closes immediately

Garrett, there is nothing wrong with using FireFox. If you can live with using a different browser such as FF, it will do everything that IE can do and somethings better. Otherwise I would try the link provided by rich.

No luck still flashing when i use the scroll bar and images flash!

it worked when i had xp, ever since i upgraded to 7 it no longer works =[

Based upon everything, it seems like corruption, try this

Go to start>type sfc>do not hit enter>right click and run as administrator

In cmd type sfc /scannow. See if that helps.

If you use programs that rely on IE to run they probably have add-ons for IE, and depending on what version you had before of IE, they may not run on the newest version of IE. This may not be your issue but it is an option of why they may not work, have you tried fully resetting IE and/or running IE without add-ons running?

I dont currently have the program installed.... i just need ie fully working!

it didnt work from the fresh install of 7!
