IE 11
IE11 cookies set to manually accept or block, 90% are blocked
Avast antivirus pro service paid
Malwarebytes pro service paid
Acrobat Flash set to manually allow for every start request

Issue: MOST IE11 pages cause a freeze at some point, and IE tab needs to be restarted or page reloaded. Most times the reload goes on longer before freezing, sometimes not. . .

Hi:

>Disclaimer: I do not use IE unless I am forced to do so on certain web pages.

So, until someone more expert at interpreting error codes comes along...

Perhaps try resetting IE?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17441/windows-internet-explorer-change-reset-settings

Or perhaps try repairing/reinstalling IE?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/318378

Also, you wrote:
registry cleaned
That *might* possibly be (in)directly contributing to your problem.
Even MS says that "registry cleaners" are unhelpful and can cause more damage than they fix.
A number of related references may be found HERE and HERE.

Thanks,
MM

Thanks for the suggestions. I also use Chrome and Brave, but IE does give me the option to block cookies, which is the primary reason for using it, plus some need to use Silverlight applications. . I read the registry cleaner posts, and I have "cleaned" a pc which would barely work with both CCleaner and Defragmentation, but to benchmark which was most responsible, didn't think to do that! so point taken!

I will reinstall IE11 but I have the same issue on the homebuilt tower which has had certain issues in the past, and most were OS / APP software issues, not my hardware or settings. . . and were eventually fixed with OS updates. . . but given MS and its desire for Win10 and all its Trojan properties, I hate Microsoft software at times. . .

thanks

Uninstalled IE11 x64, then went to reinstall IE11 x64, and IE11 x64 won't install either manually or with Windows update.

Error link goes to a non existent web page. . .

any suggestions now? HELP!

I have a Dell laptop and a home built gigabyte tower, both machines are software identical and having the same IE11 issue. The tower was the one which I tried to reinstall IE11 but failed. Had a restore point from a couple hours earlier and restored IE11. BUT, now the laptop IE11 issue has completely disappeared this morning or so far this morning! no changes in this laptop at all, as I used it for reference while tweaking the tower. . .

I have no idea what changed or if anything has changed. . . but I still hate Microsoft's business practices. .

thanks for reading and helping
