Apart from the 64bit not able to run BBC iPlayer etc, what is the difference between the two? I am running 32Bit version at present on 64Bit Windows 7. Also does anyone know if IE9 will enable the playing of iPlayer etc on the 64Bit versiom?

That just really depends on whether or not the BBC iPlayer plugin is made available in 64-bit also.

This is the primary reason why 64-Bit Internet Explorer adoption has been so slow. You can't use a 32-bit plugin on the 64-bit version of IE.

Thank you for the info, I will check with the BBC. Still would like to know the difference between 32 and 64Bit, is there an explanation somewhere?

I use both. Primarily I use the 64-bit version, but if a site requires Flash or some other plugin that is not available then i fire up the 32-bit version as well. In fact, I have both versions open up right now.

As Dwarf says the 64 bit version won't run adobe flash player.

If you can log in to the BBC site via a UK Proxy or if you are in the UK you will see the Clock application on the home page in 32 bit mode but it won't exist in 64 bit mode.

Cheers
